A social investment pioneer and trusted strategic impact adviser with over 20-years’ global debt-and equity capital markets and hands-on social impact- and gender-lens investment practitioner experience. Starting her career with the German Central Bank for Co-operatives & Mutuals has fostered Carolin’s ethos of community-based finance and her belief that capital has a higher purpose and that inclusive economic growth and markets can help solve some of society’s most entrenched problems. An adaptive leader, Carolin aligned ‘head, heart and hand’ and traversed the worlds of blue chip corporates, international development and government, applying a systems-lens to design and right-size blended finance solutions along the full spectrum of the capital continuum and guided significant organisations towards purposeful and shared value business models, flagship programs and industry engagement initiatives. Carolin serves as a technical adviser to the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade. She is a reviewer of the Global Innovation Fund and member of the Impact Investment Policy Collaborative. Carolin holds a Masters of Banking & Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and post-graduate qualifications of Social Impact from the Centre of Social Impact, University of New South Wales and trained as a multi-sector Partnerships Broker. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors she serves as a Board Advisory member of various impact enterprises and investment committees.

Zarmeen is a transformational and values-based leader with over 24 years’ experience in the funds management and impact investing sectors. An accomplished executive with a proven track record in driving transformational change, Zarmeen has significant hands-on experience in starting up and scaling up businesses. She has a unique ability to build meaningful relationships with people, connect with heart and deliver solutions with head and hand. Her multidimensional background ranges from Strategy Development, Investment and Risk Management, Operations Management and has had a successful track record in Institutional Sales and Business Development. She has demonstrable investment product design and implementation experience within multi-investor channels and has also been the fund manager of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) social impact innovation portfolio. Her passion and drive now solely focus on helping businesses scale and maximise their positive social and environmental impact whilst ensuring regenerative financial growth. She is one of DFAT’s key specialist social impact investment technical advisors and also serves on various Advisory Boards of impact enterprises. Zarmeen is an Australian Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce (sub major Law) degree from University of Western Sydney.
